Having spent my last twenty years in NYC I’ve had very little experience using automobiles. Consequently, I have no real idea what is or is not needed to effectively use and maintain a car. So, in preparation for having this RV I consulted the Internet. After reading some relevant blogs and info sites, I bought some stuff to help maintain the RV. One of these things is a bottle of Rain-X. The Ads made it sound like a magic potion that would summon unicorns and highway nymphs to clear my windshield whenever needed so I figured it was worth a shot. The process of applying it took some real elbow grease on our gigantic windshield and side windows but 45 minutes and a sore arm later I was done. For the next few days I watched to see if dirt and bugs would be swatted away by the new magic force field but it didn’t seem to make a big difference… that is until we hit an insane thunderstorm two nights ago. The winds and rain were ferocious and as we passed many cars and trucks that were pulled over, unable to see through the deluge, we motored on as unseen magical forces bent the fabric of space and time to keep my windshield clear. I had our wipers on their lowest setting as that was all that was needed to maintain a clear view of the road ahead.
If you own a car and have never tried this product, I urge you to go get a bottle as soon as you can. It payed for itself and all of the labor on that one rainy drive.
Full disclosure: I am in no way affiliated with Rain-X or its parent company but I am available to shill for them if needed.
