Hormel’s SPAM Museum

We noticed the SPAM museum on the way through Austin, MN last night so this morning we backtracked down there to check it out. Once again, I completely underestimated the scale of a museum. I thought it would be a quirky, fun photo op and we’d move right on. This is actually a very serious and large museum. We learned all about the origins of SPAM, the use during WWII, marketing over the decades, other Hormel products, and soooo much more. This is a large, modern museum with tons of semi-interesting information and great visual displays. Free admission and a free sample of SPAM made it well worth the trip.
